Application of geotechnical materials in landfill

In the construction of municipal solid waste landfill, we will use HDPE geomembrane, geotextile, drainage net, waterproof blanket and other products. How should we choose the use of materials? Which products should I choose?

Generally speaking, for large-scale projects such as landfill plants, design institutes usually design drawings, and require us to use which products and laying sequence during construction. Basically, it can be divided into three types: three-layer laying, five layer laying and seven layer laying. In fact, five layers are commonly used, that is, a layer of bentonite waterproof blanket is laid first, followed by filament geotextile, HDPE geomembrane, drainage network and filament geotextile. When using HDPE geomembrane, one thing should not be mistaken. HDPE geomembrane is divided into two types in the use of landfill: HDPE smooth geomembrane and rough geomembrane. Smooth geomembrane is used for the capping operation after laying at the bottom and using in the landfill. For the main construction of slope surface, we use rough HDPE geomembrane. In this way, after laying, the coincidence degree and friction of the rough surface of geomembrane to the ground will be greatly increased, so there is no need to worry about the geomembrane sliding after laying.
